![]() ![]() It features the voices of Vanessa Hudgens, Kimiko Glenn, James Marsden, Sofia Carson and Liza Koshy. The film also marks Boulder Media's first feature film. Based on Hasbro's My Little Pony franchise, the film marks the beginning of the fifth incarnation of the franchise, which is set to serve as the official sequel to the previous generation, a first for the franchise. It was written by Gillian Berrow and Tim Sullivan from a story by Cullen, Ucha and Sullivan. Ucha (both in their feature directorial debuts), and co-directed by Mark Fattibene with Cecil Kramer and Peter Lewis as producers. I'm perfectly happy with how she's always been portrayed up until this point, and I think Studio B is too I mean, think of it this way, so many ponies say, "Well, she doesn't have a really notable personality like the rest," but if they made her more eccentric in her behavior, then she would be more like the rest, meaning she'd technically be less unique than she is, and in turn, the rest of the Mane 6 would be less unique than they are.My Little Pony: A New Generation is a 2021 animated adventure comedy film directed by Robert Cullen and José L. ![]() she was the only one of the Mane 6, aside from Pinkie's 30 second cameo, to even speak in "Bad Seed"), and I think many bronies are starting to realize that in a lot of ways, particularly concerning mature, practical decision-making, Applejack's kinda the rock of the group (arguably along with Rarity, but that's a different issue entirely) in that regard, even if she doesn't have nearly as eccentric of a personality as some of the other Mane 6 do. The show has certainly been giving her the spotlight, or at least a lot of screen time, lately (i.e. I just think that the opportunity for a solo hasn't presented itself, and hey, I think they're trying to work her into more songs I mean, she did sing in two of the three songs in the season premiere, so that's a start.Īs for her popularity in general, I do think that this season it is starting to pick up, from what I've seen in the fandom recently. I think it's a shame that AJ hasn't had a song yet, but I certainly don't think the producers have chosen not to give her a song based off of her popularity. Speaking of a Spike in her Popularity: There's going to be an episode called Spike at your Service. I don't know, but there is only one way to find out. In conclusion, I think that if there was an episode with Applejack having a solo, there mayyyyyyy be a spike in her popularity. Twilight Sparkle is probably second in tally. Pinkie Pie, who has I believe the highest tally of songs, is a very big fan favorite. Man, an episode where Luna sings though would melt many a brony's heart ) Of course there are exceptions, and this is not a solid "rule." (I.E. ![]() It would be fair to correlate how much a pony sings to their fan popularity. Obviously her personality does not dictate singing to, well, sing. There are multiple factors to this, but I am only bringing one up here.Īpplejack has participated in multiple songs in the show, yet I cannot recall a SINGLE time when Applejack had a solo song, or even a duet. It seems that on average Applejack is the least liked/fanboy'd of the Mane 6. I at least like all of the ponies in the show to one degree or another.
